- Please visit https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/ to reach Short Term Residence Permit Registration Form and start your application process.
- An application can be made only after entering Turkey and registering at the university.
- In order to schedule an appointment, you are required to enter Turkey with your original passport. No other documents are accepted for residence permit applications.
- The application process should start within the legal period specified under immigration regulations. Accordingly, an online residence permit application must be submitted before the expiration date of a visa (regular or electronic), passport or other entry document. Each applicant must be aware of the expiration date of their visas or the amount of time allowed in Turkey with other documents. It is not possible to apply after the visa expiration date.
- Applicants’ passports must be valid at least 60 days beyond the requested ending date of residence permit (i.e. if an applicant wants to have a residence permit which expires on June 30th, his/ her passport must be valid until August 29th).
- Make sure that you upload your biometric photo when filling out the online application form. Do not upload family, selfie, unrecognizable, non-up-to-date or black and white photos into the system, otherwise residence permit document shall not be issued!
- While filling out the online application form, please select “SHORT TERM/ THE ONES TO ATTEND TRAINING, RESEARCH, APPRENTICESHIP AND COURSES” as the application type and purpose instead of “STUDENT” or “SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH”.
- While filling out the online form, you should choose ITU Ayazağa campus address regardless of your residential address in Turkey. It is essential for your card to be sent to the university and to prevent any loss or misplacements upon delivery. The address is as follows: Resitpasa Mah. Katar Cad. No: 2/1 Sariyer / Istanbul
- Once your online application is complete, you should print out the application form, sign the signature part on the 5th page, and submit it along with all your documents to the appointment place indicated on the application form in person. Exact date and time of the appointment for submission of the application folder will be sent via e-mail by Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
