“ITU International Day”, where international students studying at Istanbul Technical University come together, was held on Monday, December 27, 2021, with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu.

“ITU International Day”, organized in cooperation with the Office of International Affairs, International Students Office and International Student Club - ITU Bees and under the sponsorship of Pantous Aesthetics, was held on Monday, December 27, 2021 with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu.

“ITU International Day” was celebrated with enthusiasm, with 18 country booths set up by our students studying at ITU, as well as TÖMER and EELISA booths. International students from ITU took the participants on a tour of the world, so to speak, with the cultural products, shows and magnificent meals they prepared to represent their countries.

ITU is the institution that hosts the highest number of foreign students

In the event held at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu made a speech to our international students and underlined that ITU is the higher education institution that hosts the highest number of foreign students in Turkey and emphasized the importance of being a member of ITU.

Stating that ITU has two and a half centuries of experience, our Rector expressed that we are making an intense effort to increase student and academics exchanges every day and proceeded as follows: “We also owe our success to continuous innovation. We follow the current technology and current developments closely and renew ourselves every moment. Recently, internationalization is one of the topics we have focused on based on this dynamism.”

After our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu's speech, the stage performances by our students from Indonesia, Djibouti, Afghanistan and Morocco received full marks from the audience.
