In 2001, while there were two technology development regions in Turkey there are 84 techno parks and 61 of them are active. Up to date, approximately 4 billion dollar export has been actualized. 119 billion lira sales have been executed. There are over 40 thousand researchers working at over 5 thousand techno park companies. As the ministry, we have provided 984 million lira’s support directly to the technology development regions. The performance index ranking from the evaluation that was carried out in 2017 by our ministry showed that out of all the technology development regions İTU ARI Techno park was in first place.
