Istanbul Technical University (ITU) participated in EAIE 2026, held in Glasgow as part of the 36th Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition, one of Europe’s most important gatherings in the field of international higher education. The event, held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) 8–11 September 2026, brought together higher education institutions and international education professionals from different countries around the world and welcomed 7,300 participants.

ITU took part in EAIE 2026, where 96 universities from Türkiye participated, with its International Exchange Programs Specialists. Throughout the event, ITU representatives met with Erasmus+, Global Exchange, and other international cooperation units of universities from different countries, evaluated existing collaborations, and held discussions on potential academic partnerships in the future.

As part of the fair, ITU representatives held meetings regarding learning mobilities for the upcoming academic terms and evaluated new cooperation opportunities that students could benefit from during their mobility processes. At the fair, information was exchanged on diversifying student mobility opportunities and creating new mobility opportunities with different higher education institutions.

Istanbul Technical University continues its efforts to diversify student and staff mobilities within the scope of  Erasmus+, strengthen its relations with higher education institutions in Europe, and expand its international academic network.
