We are very pleased to announce that Zhejiang University will launch its inaugural 2022 SDG Global Summer School on August 1-15, which will be open for applications in April. With the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the SDG Global Summer School will be held online this year.
Zhejiang University welcomes students from around the world to the Global Summer School for academic learning and cultural experience opportunities. This two-week program allows undergraduate and graduate students to take credit-bearing courses themed on SDGs and to study with ZJU students under the mentorship of world-class professors of both ZJU and its partner universities.
Students will be able to choose from 3 academic modules, namely Carbon Neutrality, Inclusive Development, and Smart City, based on their interests. Each module will provide an in-depth understanding of the most critical issues for a sustainable future through interdisciplinary training, thought-provoking case studies, engaging group work, and hands-on experience. Opportunities for cultural immersion will also be provided through various non-curricular activities such as the Model United Nations, Chinese culture events, virtual tours around ZJU and Hangzhou, etc.
As partner university, students from Istanbul Technical University will receive a tuition and inscription fee waiver. The faculty mentor list, syllabus and more details will be officially released on Global Summer School’s website in March.
