BOEING – ITU Turkish Aviation & Space Industry Joint Master’s Program

The “Air Vehicle Constructions and Materials Master’s Program” will be conducted by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and The Turkish Aviation & Space Industy (TUSAŞ), with the contributions of Boeing.

The “Air Vehicle Constructions and Materials Master’s Program” will be conducted by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and The Turkish Aviation & Space Industy (TUSAŞ), with the contributions of Boeing.

Vice Rector Prof. Ali Fuat Aydın stated that the Air Vehicle Constructions and Materials Master’s Program would accelerate new successes to those that have been noted in this field in Turkey the last couple of years.

Aydın went on to say “Our significant goal is to develop pioneering technologies and modern applications for air vehicle constructions and materials.  For this, the development of potential talents and making use of them efficiently is necessary.  With its international prestige and recognized technical training, ITU will create value along with you in this sense.  My wish is that this program, which brings together aircraft engineering and materials science, is an active example for reaching our country’s national aviation goals.”

About TUSAŞ Academy 

The programs coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Hülya Cebeci, ITU Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Prof. İbrahim Özkul, a founder member of the program both shared information regarding the program:  “The aim of the postgraduate training undertaken at TUSAŞ academy is to develop capabilities for air vehicle constructions and material technologies and to establish human resources in this field.  Experiences from TUSAŞ and senior experts serving at the world’s powerful trademark Boeing will be brought together with the accumulation of knowledge from academics from ITU, MIT, Cranfield, Washington and Michigan University.
